In my opinion personal relationships are a key ingredient to this mess we call life. Personal relationships provide a sense of peace and serenity. In the lives of many people patriotism is nonexistent; I didn't even know what it was until today. Lastly personal relationships are apart of being a human. It's in our biology; patriotism is not. Many times when things go wrong in our lives we run to family and friends. They comfort us when we are in need of comfort. When we are hurting deep down inside, patriotism wont do anything for us, and what you believe in will not fix your broken heart. Sometimes people just need to know they're cared about, so let's be real, you can care about your country as much as you want, but it will never care about you. Some people may argue that when they think about their country it makes them feel better, but in reality this country is not even comparable to how your loved ones pick you up when you're down. Beauty: the pleasing or attractive features of something. The pleasing or attractive features of what? "Something" is so general. It's crazy how a million different things have become one over time. That something is no longer a thought, a sentence, a touch, or even a feeling, but that something is a physical appearance. I wonder who decided this, because they should feel very ashamed. How can you take something so great, and twist it into something that causes so much pain? A girl who was once beautiful for her loving nature is now hideous for her lack of contour. The Past, The Present, and The Future

First things first, happy new year!! Now on to more important things... The future. It is now 2017, and I am halfway through my junior year. Last semester was everything but my best semester, and I can't promise the next one will be any better, but I have to make a tremendous effort for it to be. I am constantly bombarded with questions about my future. "Where do you want to go?" "What career plans do you have?" "What do you plan to do after high school?" Those are all great questions; I simply just don't have the answers to them. My choice could haunt me for the rest of my life. I can't even drive, yet I'm expected to decide my destiny. Its crazy how when we're kids we know exactly what we want to do, where we want to go, and who we want to be. We have big dreams, and there isn't a voice loud enough to crush them.
